Ventures & Partnerships
A new company takes more than a good idea. AVENDOX helps you build that company, within our field: AI, software and digital products. You remain the owner; we bring the expertise and the execution. When an idea calls for more than an assignment, we can join forces and build on as partners. Our expertise comes from practice: AVENDOX continuously builds, tests and launches ventures of its own. We are always open to a conversation.
Ventures & Partnerships: do you want to start a new company with AI or software? We help you build it. You remain the owner. If it fits well, we can also continue together as partners. AVENDOX keeps starting new companies of its own. We learn a lot from that, and we use it for you.
In plain words
What is it?
A venture is a new business. There are two ways we can help. Usually we build your company for you: you have the idea, we make the product. Sometimes it fits better to work together as partners; then we both put something in and share in the result. AVENDOX also builds new companies of its own that run on AI and software.
What does it do for you?
You are not on your own, and you do not need any technical knowledge. We bring the technology, the building and experience with new products; you bring, for example, knowledge of your field or your customers. That way an idea quickly becomes something you can actually test.
What can we do for you?
- Working out together whether your idea solves a real problem, for whom, and whether people are willing to pay for it.
- Quickly building a working first version, known as an MVP (the smallest version that is already usable), so you can test the idea with real users before investing heavily.
- Working out how the idea can make money, and checking the key assumptions behind that.
- If it fits well, continuing together as partners, with clear agreements in advance on who contributes what and who owns what.
An example
Suppose you work in construction and see planners losing hours every day coordinating crews and materials. You have an idea for an app that would make this easier. First we talk the idea through together and find out whether other construction firms have the same problem. Then we build a simple first version and let a few planners try it out. If it works and companies are willing to pay for it, we discuss how to take it further: we keep building for you, or we continue together as partners.
How we work together
We listen
What is your idea, who is it for and why is now the right time?
We test
We first check whether the idea holds up, for example by talking to future users, before much is built.
We build
A first version, which we adjust based on what users think of it.
We choose the form
We build for you, or we work together as partners. We decide that together.
What we need from you
We need your idea and your knowledge of the problem or the audience, and time to research and test together. A detailed plan or technical knowledge is not required.
What does it cost?
Discussing an idea with us costs nothing and commits you to nothing. What happens after that depends on the form it takes. If we help you research and build, you receive a proposal with the approach, timeline and costs in advance. If we work together as partners, we work out how contributions, ownership and revenue are shared and set this out in an agreement.
Good to know
Not every idea becomes a business, and that is fine: finding out early that something does not work saves you a lot of time and money. We tell you honestly what we think of an idea. And we stay within our field: digital products, software, AI and the companies that run on them.
Not sure yet what you need? That is fine. Tell us what is difficult or what could work better. An initial conversation comes with no obligation: it costs nothing and does not commit you to anything.
What we build
Your company, built by us
You bring the idea and the knowledge of your market; we design and build the product, from first version to launch. You remain the full owner.
Testing an idea
Before much is built: who has the problem, what must the solution do and are people willing to pay for it?
Partnership
When both sides bring something substantial, we can join forces. Contributions, roles and ownership are agreed in writing in advance.
Our own ventures
AVENDOX builds and launches new companies of its own. What works there, we put to work for you.
How we work
Get acquainted
What do you want to build, for whom and why now?
Test
Investigating the key assumptions before much is built.
Choose the form
We build on assignment, or we join forces as partners. We decide that together.
Build and launch
From first version to launch, adjusted to what users show us.
Good to know
- A conversation commits you to nothing.
- Building on assignment is the default; a partnership is decided case by case, with agreements set out in advance.
- We stay within our field: AI, software, digital products and the companies built on them.
Frequently asked questions
What is a venture studio?
A venture studio, also called a venture builder, is an organisation that systematically helps build new companies by contributing knowledge, capacity and execution itself, rather than money alone.
I have an idea for a digital service or app. Can you help?
Yes. AVENDOX helps research, test and develop ideas for digital services, apps and products: who has the problem, what must the solution do, does it work in practice and how does it pay for itself?
What does building a venture with AVENDOX mean?
Building a venture together means AVENDOX and the other party jointly develop a promising idea into a company of its own, with shared commitment and a shared stake in the outcome. The idea can come from you or from us.
When does an idea qualify for a joint venture?
An idea qualifies when it solves a real, recognisable problem for a clear group of users, when there is a realistic business model, and when both parties contribute something substantial.
How are ownership and shares arranged in a venture?
Ownership, roles, contributions and the division of proceeds are worked out separately for each venture, based on what both parties bring. A partnership does not automatically mean a fixed percentage or an investment.
Can you help develop a digital concept or business model?
Yes. AVENDOX helps design, research and test new digital services and business models, for example an existing service that can be offered digitally, or knowledge that can be offered more widely as a product.
Curious what this could mean for your organisation?
Describe your challenge or idea. We aim to respond within 24 hours, and an initial conversation comes with no obligation.
